There were more mass shootings in 2021 than in any other previous year. 2021 set a new record for mass shootings in America with 692 shootings that involved 4 or more victims not including the shooter. This represents a single year increase of 13% more mass shootings compared to 2020, and an 81% increase in mass shootings over 5 years ago. 2022 was 2nd most in US history with 646 mass shootings. Mass shootings have almost doubled in the last 5 years.

    Every year, over 80,000 Americans are killed or injured by gun violence. The majority, about 45.000 per year are killed. Another 40,000 are injured. 2021 was the most violent year in US history. The carnage includes thousands of youths under the age of 18 that are killed or injured from gun violence. Many are under the age of 11.
